Early July in pre-pandemic Cochrane means two things, the Calgary Stampede and annual pancake breakfasts in and around Cochrane.

With COVID in the rearview mirror the pancake breakfasts are returning better than ever with a total of nine pancake breakfasts popping up in the Cochrane Area over the next two weeks.

Kicking things off on Thursday July 7th the Cochrane BGC in conjunction with the Cochrane Lions are inviting you for breakfast along with music, and fun family activities from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 111, 5th Ave W. Bring your own plates and cutlery, the admission cost is a simple donation.

Friday, July 8th, The Cochrane Animal Clinic is hosting its own pancake breakfast and open house where you can get your daily fillings of pancakes and take a tour around the clinic and even have your animals' nails trimmed if you make a donation, with all proceeds going to the Cochrane and Area Humane Society. There will be demonstrations, games and draw prizes. The time for breakfast is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 124 River Ave.

Friday up in Water Valley, the Water Valley Golf Course is hosting its own pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 29206 Range Road 51, Water Valley. The Breakfast is open to everyone, although you are asked to dress appropriately. 

On Saturday, the community of Fireside is hosting its Fireside Stampede Breakfast. At the breakfast, you can expect a pancake breakfast, face painting as well as an inflatable obstacle course. The event will be located along the Fireside Parkway.

The next day (the 10th) Sunset is hosting their own Sunset Stampede Breakfast. At this breakfast, you can find food, face painting, a petting zoo, and a live band. The breakfast will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon), at the Trading Post in Sunset.

Cochrane Toyota is hosting their pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday morning at the dealership.

Grande Central Business's hosting its own complimentary pancake breakfast Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 201 Grande Boulevard.

MLA Peter Guthrie hosts his own Stampede Breakfast on Wednesday the 13th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at his office, 1B, 60 Railway St E.

Last but not least, Bragg Creek will be having a pancake breakfast as part of their Bragg Creek Days on Saturday the 16th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. down at the Bragg Creek Community building. Throughout the day there will be lots of other fun activities as well.
