Police are hoping the public can shed light on a series of fires in Sherwood Park.

Between 12:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on June 30, Strathcona County RCMP and emergency services responded to two dumpster fires located on the east side of Salisbury Composite High School on Festival Way.

On Monday (July 4), just before 6 a.m., police and emergency services were called to the strip mall located at 985 Fir Street, where six garbage cans and two planters had been set ablaze.

No damage was done to the school or any businesses, and no injuries were reported in either case.

Arson is suspected in the series of fires, according to the RCMP.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or may have information regarding the fires is asked to contact the Strathcona County RCMP.
