The Heritage Car Show drew quite a crowd Saturday at the Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach.

The event included a swap meet, which Robert Goertzen says connects people in search of car parts with people who have parts to spare.

“There’s always a few people who are able to find that part that's so hard to get for their own vehicle,” he says. “So, it’s a way of helping each other out.”

Goertzen adds the event was a great opportunity for people to swap car stories and to share some tips and tricks.

“Sometimes, you’re working on something at home, and you just like to compare to see what others have done and get some ideas and listen to the stories of the care and attention that people have put into their vehicles.”

The car show was open to everyone who wanted to display their vehicle. This year, the entry fee was waived for exhibitors.

Although the forecast was calling for rainy weather, it turned out to be a great day with some cloud cover and a breeze which helped people stay comfortable in the heat that blanketed the region.

Here are some of the photos we took at the event. Make sure you send us your summer photos to win some awesome prizes that are being given away throughout the season during the Show Us Your Summer contest.
