Local R&B-pop artist Josh Sahunta is getting set to hit the Calgary Stampede Coca-Cola Stage.

The self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer will perform on the stage Tuesday (Jul. 12), beginning at 12:30 p.m. The Coca-Cola Stage is always one of the most anticipated parts of the Stampede, featuring a wide range of award-winning artists.

July Talk, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tokyo Police Club, Alessia Cara, Milky Chance, and Alexisonfire will all perform at this year's event.

In May, Sahunta released his debut album, Mellowdrama, which features the single This Party Sucks.

Apart from his local success, Sahunta has made a name for himself in the European music scene. His single, Wanting, was played by Pete Tong and MistaJam on BBC Radio 1 in the UK and by Tiesto himself on his weekly podcast.

His song Take All I Am was used on season two of the Netflix Original show, The Order, and his song Summertime was used on the first season of Netflix Original, Tiny Pretty Things.

Most recently, Josh was involved in the writing and singing of a major release by Sony India that has already amassed over 5 million views on YouTube.
