The Moose Jaw Police Service and Moose Jaw Crime Stoppers are requesting the public's help in identifying a suspect in a month-old assault case.
On June 19 around 2:30 a.m., MJPS was called to an assault with a weapon at an establishment on Manitoba Street.
When officers arrived, a man was found with injuries. Police determined that the victim was attempting to break up a fight when he was struck with a hatchet by an unknown suspect.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived and could not be located. The victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
