Strathcona County RCMP are concerned about the growing number of graffiti incidents in the area.

The graffiti has been found on school property, parks, fences, electrical boxes, and county property.

From January 1, 2021 to July 11, 2021, seven graffiti cases were reported in the area.

In that same time span this year, 24 cases have been reported in the area.

Nobody has been charged in any of these instances.

“If you see graffiti we ask that you take a photo and report it to the RCMP,” said RCMP Constable Chantelle Kelly.

If the graffiti is on a private property painted residential fence, Strathcona County provides support to the homeowner with a free coupon for a graffiti removal kit.

The kit includes paint, roller, tray, brush, and gloves.

More information on graffiti reporting in certain areas of Strathcona County can be found on their website.
