Sun rises on final day of competition

The chutes opened this morning on the final day of competition for the Canadian High School Rodeo Finals.

Today's events will feature the third round of competition and will kick off at eight o'clock this morning.

Today's order of events is:

8 a.m. - 3rd round of High School Cutting - Boys than girls

9 a.m. - 3rd round of Junior High competition - awards and scholarship presentations to follow 30 minutes upon completion of the rodeo.

10 a.m. - 3rd round Reined Cow Horse

2 p.m. - 3rd round High School competition - awards and scholarship presentations to follow 30 minutes upon completion of the rodeo.

Events at the rodeo will include Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Goat Tying, and Pole Bending.

There are 555 entries and 320 students competing in the finals.
