“The Hanover Ag Fair is back in full force!” exclaims Curtis Dawyduik, a wearer of many hats with Hanover Ag.

After 3 years of restricted events, the Hanover Ag Board is pulling out all the stops to bring you fresh and exciting new events, August 18th to 21st!

The weekend’s main attractions include the two-year Event of the Year award-winning Bull Riders Canada Invitational, the first annual Kevin Toews Memorial Arm-Wrestling Tournament, and, of course, the Road Hammers Concert.

Grunthal’s bull riding, sponsored by Steinbach Feeds, is the largest bull riding event in Manitoba. This year’s contestants have come from Brazil, Paraguay, and across Western Canada to impress the masses.

The Kevin Toews Memorial Arm-Wrestling Tournament continues the fair’s long arm-wrestling tradition, with a tribute to Kevin.“ Kevin and his wife, Giselle, looked after our arm-wrestling event at the fair for many, many years,” says Dawyduik,“and the board decided that naming the event after Kevin in his memory was the best way to commemorate it and honour their contributions.”

The Road Hammers concert fires up on Saturday night with guests Trevor Panczak and Quinton Blair. Doors open at 6 pm, the show starts at 7pm! The night ends with fireworks to celebrate the weekend!

Sunday closes out the fair with a community church service, the CWHA Light Horse Show, and Manitoba’s Strongest Man Competition.

There’s so much going on at the Hanover Ag Fair this year, and Dawyduik can’t wait to see the grounds full of people again. “It’s truly what our board enjoys the most,” he says. “It takes a small army to pull the weekend off, and we’re grateful for our dedicated volunteers and wonderful sponsors.”

Grounds admission all weekend long is $10 per person, free for children 5 and under. Bull Riding admission is $30 per person, free for children 5 and under. Concert tickets are $30 after 6pm on Saturday. Get your tickets and find more information at hanoverag.com.
