Gibbons by-election candidates and details

Gibbons is looking to fill a seat on council after Darren McCann's resignation. 

In May, McCann resigned amid sexual misconduct allegations. 

Five candidates are vying for the open spot: Daniel Farrer, Roland Geiger, Tanika Larsen, Robert Simonowits and Dale Yushchyshyn.

According to the Town of Gibbons, advanced voting will be held on Sept. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the town office. Voting Day will be held on Sept. 12 at the Gibbons Cultural Centre from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Government ID and proof of physical address are required to cast a vote.
