The Rosetown RCMP release for the period of August 12-19, opened with a report of fraud, and there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Early on the next day members received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Zealandia, and after patrolling the area were unable to locate the vehicle. Later on that night Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious person in town, later attending and speaking to the subject of complaint leaving nothing further required.
On August 14th Rosetown RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries, and it was reported for insurance purposes. The next day, local RCMP would act as mediators in a family dispute near Herschel, SK, and then after that on the 16th members received a report of a suspicious vehicle near Rosetown, with that matter still currently under investigation.
The other big call on the 16th saw members respond to a report of a vehicle fire in Rosetown, along with the Rosetown Fire Department. According to the release, upon arrival the vehicle driver was extinguishing the fire, and there were no injuries and only minor damage sustained to the vehicle.
On August 17th in the afternoon, Rosetown RCMP took off to Wiseton after they received a request for a wellbeing check. Members attended and transported a male to Rosetown Hospital for assessment. After that members rceived a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Zealandia, though members were unable to locate the vehicle.
There were 41 Traffic related charges issued, 1 911 mis-dial call and 4 false alarm calls.
