Country music was in the air over the weekend as the “Taking it to the Streets” concert took over Kinetic Park.

Residents gathered in the grandstands for a spectacular show on Saturday night, which was kicked off at 7 p.m. by Saskatchewan talent, Karissa Hoffart.

Duane Steele followed Hoffart’s set before fellow Canadian country music artist, Gord Bamford, concluded the night.

The multi-award-winning artist said he was looking forward to playing for the extensive crowd at Kinetic Park.

“It looks great out there,” Bamford expressed. “It's a good atmosphere and people are flocking in here, so it'll be a fun night.”

He added that he was looking forward to more than being on stage for Saturday night’s concert.

“My wife is actually from Swift Current,” he explained. “So, I'm seeing some family I haven't seen for a lot of years. So, it'll be fun to catch up and play some music.”
