Amy Lynn Gummeson of Fort Saskatchewan has been charged again with the theft of a catalytic converter.

Two people have been charged with stealing catalytic converters, one of which is a Fort Saskatchewan woman who was charged with the same crime less than a month ago.

Yesterday (Aug. 29) at 3 a.m, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP received a complaint of a catalytic converter theft on Santana Crescent. 

RCMP arrived and located a man and woman hiding in a pickup truck. The two were arrested. A power saw and one catalytic converter were found on the suspects upon arrest.

Amy Gummeson (42) of Fort Saskatchewan, was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Failure to comply with a release order condition (x2)
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Mischief under $5,000

Gummeson was charged earlier this month for the theft of two catalytic converters.

The other suspect, Vincent Whitford (39) of St. Albert, was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Failing to comply with a probation order

Both will remain in custody until they're set to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Sept. 1.
