Fort Saskatchewan RCMP has made another arrest after a series of catalytic converter thefts earlier this month.

Police say 30 catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles at a business on Range Road 185 and Township Road 532, north of Tofield. According to police, the car parts were stolen between Aug. 5 and Aug. 8.

Six catalytic converters were recovered and identified due to distinct cut marks matching those found on the vehicles.

Currently, charges are pending against a 44-year-old man from Edmonton.

"The investigation remains ongoing and Fort Saskatchewan RCMP is asking anyone with information regarding this incident, to contact the detachment at 780-992-6100," police said in a release.

This is the third arrest the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP made related to catalytic converter thefts this week. On Monday, RCMP arrested 42-year-old Amy Gummeson of Fort Saskatchewan and 39-year-old Vincent Whitford of St. Albert and charged them in relation to the theft.
