Families in the community won’t have to look far for a fun weekend event.

The Bruderheim Fall Festival is set to get underway on Saturday (Sept. 3) at the local ag grounds.

They expect a chocked full day of activities. Continental breakfast at the Bruderheim Community Hall will kick things off at 8 a.m., followed by a parade that starts at 10 a.m., and a market that runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Many more events are set to go in between including an RCMP dog handling and duck herding presentations and an Alberta petting zoo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday evening will consist of a musical performance from the Jarrid Lee Band and a fireworks display.

People coming to the event are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

There is also a slo-pitch tournament that will run until Sunday.
