David Anthony Little

 

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dave little of Winnipeg, MB on Thursday August 25, 2022 at the age of 60, with his family by his side.

Dave will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Kala Little (Rick Boak) of Portage la Prairie, sister Toni of Stony Plain, AB,  niece Leanne (Jesse) of Edmonton, AB and special friend Zoe Priest of Winnipeg, MB.  Along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Dave was predeceased by his son Anthony Little, brother Gordon Little and parents Shirley and David Little.

Dave was born on October 17, 1961 in Gladstone, MB to Shirley and David.  He grew up in St. James, Winnipeg.  When he was younger he enjoyed marathon running, winning himself many trophies and awards that he was very proud of.  Dave spent a lot of his free time working on cars, Fishing, hunting, coin collecting, playing and dealing poker at Assiniboia Downs, and sitting by the fire.

Dave was a Jack of all Trades, always learning new skills.  In his early years he worked at Robins Donuts and Tim Hortons as a baker, he then moved on to owning his own tow-truck business and had his own shop to work on cars.  He spent winters commercial fishing on Lake Manitoba then moved on to getting his Red Seal ticket for roofing. 

Dave faced many challenges in life, but always took everything in stride with determination to keep going.  He will be greatly missed by his dogs Roxy (Rocky Roller) and Tinker Bell.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wed Sept 14th at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie at 1:00pm.  Fellowship, refreshments and lunch will follow the service.  Interment to follow at the MacGregor Cemetery in the family plot.
