Glenda June Collins (Allanson, Williams)

Although missed greatly by her passing on November 16, 2023, Glenda lived a life to be honored and celebrated. A life that included sisters; Jacki White (Ray), Shelly Prawdzik (Sheldon – deceased), Tammy Hordeski (Reg) all from Alberta, brothers; Richard (Lynda) from BC, Perry (Diane) and Brian (Linda) both from Portage la Prairie. Glenda was predeceased by her brother Randy and parents.

Muriel Eleanor Scott

In a room filled with love, Muriel Scott peacefully began her next journey on Friday May 3, 2024 at the age of 79 years.

Lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 62 years, Alastair and her cherished daughters; Rayaline Demenuk, Stephanie Brown (Rick) and Cindy Martin (Craig). Grandma with the candy mints to; Jolene (Jeff), Keri, Sheryl, Chaz, Drew (Sophie), Jalen, Miley and Kinzee. Along with great-grandchildren Shane, Jason and Joanna and the best big brother Ron McCarthy (Jeanette).

Carrol Ann Sandney

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Dear Mother - Carrol Anne Sandney at the age of 70 years old, peacefully on April 25th, 2024 at her home in Portage la Prairie.

Carrol was predeceased by her parents Lawrence & Irene Sandney, sister Diana Knott, brother Robert Sandney, niece Tanya Knott, nephew Brett Sandney, sister-in-law Cathy Sandney and son-in-law Vinney Wilson.

Hellen Ruth Carr (nee Preston) passed away at Portage & District General Hospital on April 21, 2024.

She was born in Portage la Prairie, MB on October 13, 1961 and lived here for her entire life. During her childhood and adult years she remained very close to her grandfather, Stanley Preston, until the time of his death.

Helen Doreen Wojtowich

Peacefully on March 20, 2024 Helen Doreen Wojtowich (nee Sloik) passed away at the Portage General Hospital with her children at her side. Helen was predeceased by her husband Ted, son Walter; parents Michael and Anna Sloik; sister Effie and brother-in-law Herbie Bachert; brother-in-law Bill Kelly; brother-in-law Dmetro Donaradz; cousin Roman Sloik; as well as numerous relatives on the Wojtowich side of the family.

Loretta Wood (nee Sherritt)

Mom passed away at the Lions Prairie Manor, the evening of March 30th, 2024 at the age of 94 years after a long battle with Dementia and a devastating stroke on March 22nd.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Don, parents Perce & Gertrude Sherritt, brothers; Ted and Arn, and sister Rowena Gibb.

She is survived by her daughter Lynda, son Bob, sister Velma Doupe, sisters-in-law; Grace Tully and Elaine Wood, along with her nieces and nephews, her cousins and their families, and many good friends.

Leona Dorothy Enns

On March 14, 2024 after a 15 year struggle with Alzheimer’s, Leona Enns passed away at Lions Prairie Manor, at the age of 93 years. Leona had resided there for the last 12 years.

James Norman Mattson

We are saddened to announce that our dad, James (Jim) Norman Mattson, aged 86, passed away peacefully on February 22nd, 2024, at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB.

James Norman Mattson passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

Survived by his beloved wife, Edna (nee Harder), daughters; Lisa-Jane (Darren) Spletzer and Anne (Ben) Mattson Gauss, five grandchildren; Kaden and Myka Spletzer, Nikolai, August and Sasha Gauss.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion during our dad’s final moments.

After a long battle fought courageously, Robert Gardner Sandney passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at home at the age of 60 years old.
