Fort Saskatchewan RCMP is investigating a recent string of fires that have been popping up in the area.

Police say the first fire happened on Aug. 14 when they were called to a suspected arson of a building on 104 Street and 99 Avenue. That fire destroyed two businesses.

They then responded to reports of an outhouse that was burned to the ground at RCMP Park on Aug. 23. That same day, a garbage can at a strip mall was set on fire.

More recently, crews were called to another structure fire at the Historic Site on 100 Avenue and 100 Street.

Police are investigating the incidents but do not know if the fires are related to each other.

They are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the potential arson(s). If you have any information relating to any of the fires, you are asked to call the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP at 780-992-6100. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
