The Legion will be holding a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II in Steinbach on Monday, September 19th at 10:45 A.M. at the local cenotaph. Rain or shine, the service will still be on.
The service will be around 20-25 minutes. Everyone is welcome to come by and pay their respects to the queen.
Legion spokesperson, Bill Richards, says there will be a 2-minute moment of silence at 11:00 A.M., and following that some benediction prayers.
“Then some words that I will express on behalf of the Legion and the community as a whole. And then we have a few moments where people can pay tribute in silence and say a prayer or two.”
Richards says there will be seating available for those who require it.
"I know the space is limited at that location, so the city is providing barricades for the right turning lane onto Main off Reimer, so there'll be some room there for people to gather and pay their respects.”
