JUNO Award winner Serena Ryder is coming to the Shell Theatre.

Ryder will be performing on Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. as part of The Art of Falling Apart Tour.

The tour is named after her recent album of the same name. She describes it as the "most authentic" album she's released so far as it dives into themes of mental wellness and the journey towards good health. The album won Adult Contemporary Album of the Year at the 2022 JUNO Awards.

Ryder has been performing for over 20 years. For the first 10-15 years she was touring for nine months of the year. Five years ago, she began to miss home and wanted to tour less -- then came the pandemic.

"Before it happened I really wanted a break. Boy, did I get a break," Ryder laughed.

This is her first tour since COVID began, and she says she's been excited to get back out on the road.

"There's so much gratitude being able to do what we love because we haven't been able to, you know?" Ryder said. "People have been locked up inside, and to be out now, there's this sense of freedom."

The platinum-selling artist is known for hits such as Stompa, What I Wouldn't Do and Electric Love.

Ryder's performance at the Shell Theatre will also feature special guest Desirée Dawson. Tickets cost $69 and can be purchased here
