The U18AA Humboldt Broncos have been working hard and have a few games under their belts under the lead of Head Coach Kevin Henry of Prince Albert. The team consists of 19 players from several communities including Humboldt, St. Brieux, Bruno, Wakaw, Leroy, Watson, Wadena, Southend and Kelvington.

The team played 3 exhibition games to start off their pregame season, travelling to Lloydminster on the 24 and 25 of September to take on the Blazers. There they tied the first game 2-2 and lost the second one 5-1.

The following weekend they took on the Regina Capitals at the EPA for their third exhibition game losing 4-1. Their regular season home opener was on Saturday facing the Saskatoon Icehawks in a fast paced game that saw the Icehawks widening the one goal gap in the third resulting in a 4-0 loss for the Broncos.

Thanksgiving Sunday brought the Northwest Stars to the EPA and the Broncos took the lead after one period with a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, the remainder of the game will have to be finished another day as there was a power outage and the game was called.

The boys will hit the ice at the EPA this weekend taking on the Saskatoon Sabercats Saturday October 15 at 3:30 and the West Central Wheatkings on Sunday, October 16 at 1:30. Come on out and cheer them on!
