The stories of gruesome killers and contacting the dead are just a few of the features at the Fort Heritage Precinct's Twilight Tours.

On Oct. 21, 22, 28, and 29, as well as Nov. 4 and 5, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., residents can visit the precinct for these ghastly activities.

"Because we're a history museum, there are often spooky stories attached to specific buildings," said Stephanie Huolt, programs coordinator at the precinct.

The event is separated into Friday and Saturday nights. Fridays explore necromancy in the occult by showing what it was like to contact the dead. Saturdays are all about true crime and some of Alberta's most brutal killers.

The last man hung in Alberta was 25-year-old Robert Cook, who was sentenced to death after killing seven of his relatives. He was hung at the Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Gaol, which is where the precinct stands today.

Residents can expect a bit of a walk during the Twilight Tours, so the precinct suggests wearing comfortable footwear.

The event is 18+ but minors can attend at their parent or guardian's discretion.

Regular admission is $8.45, with senior admission being $5.40.
