RCMP: Multi-house fire extinguished

Mounties say a fire from early Sunday morning (Oct. 16) has been put out. 

Eight units were affected in the blaze in the Waterford Court area of Fort Saskatchewan. 

"Fort Saskatchewan RCMP advise that the fires have now been extinguished. Traffic can now get through the area," police said in a release. 

No injuries or fatalities were reported. 

"Investigators are still on scene and it may take some time before they know the cause of the fire."

Emergency services were dispatched to the fire at around 4:30 a.m.
