After a fire on Woodsmere Close early Sunday (Oct. 16) morning, six families have been left without a home. Here's how you can help to get them back on their feet.

Red Cross:

Calling them at 1-800-418-1111 and telling them you're donating to the victims of the October 16, 2022, Fort Saskatchewan Fire will ensure the money goes directly to the families affected.

GoFundMe:

If you're looking to donate to a specific family, three GoFundMe accounts have been set up for some families. Dillian and Todd, the Woods family, the Enokson family, and Greg Brunsgaard have their own GoFundMe pages. If we’re missing one, email the details to news@fortsaskonline.com.

Fort Saskatchewan High:

Two teachers are aligning with their favourite NHL teams to raise money for victims. Whoever raises the least has to decorate their classroom with the other teacher's team. Proceeds are donated to the victims.

Ken's Catering:

Dinner for a Cause is coming earlier than expected. A $35 buffet dinner with live music, a silent auction, and 100 per cent of proceeds going towards the families. Call ahead to book.

Multicultural Association:

They're accepting winter clothes, boots, shoes, toys, furniture, appliances, and any items to help those affected refurnish their homes and fill their closets.

Fort Saskatchewan Elks

The local Elks club can help with disaster relief, like the fire, for anyone with kids under 18. Call the club at 780-887-5454 to donate.
