Peace Country artist Charity Macklin just released her first single called “You Are My God”.
Macklin was born and raised in the Grande Prairie area, and is currently a part of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church.
Her new song “You Are My God” was inspired during a time of soul searching into what she was actually worshipping.
Macklin says, “All of a sudden, I was just hit by this realization that I’m not actually worshipping God, I’m worshipping all this other stuff. All this other cultural construct of what we believe Christianity is, I'm worshipping that. I'm not actually drinking from the river of life.”
"You Are My God" was produced in Grande Prairie by Chris McIntyre. After her first professional song consultation with Canadian Artist Brian Doerksen, she’s excited about another couple ideas that are already coming to life.
