The City of Moose Jaw is advising that due to ongoing challenges accessing back lanes, all city waste collection has been postponed until Monday, October 31.
In a news release, the city says, "Due to the conditions of the back alleys (which account for over 70% of the collection area) and with such extreme restricted access for collection vehicles due to low hanging trees, downed trees/lines and heavy accumulation of snow and ice the city will be delaying collection for all zones until October 31st, 2022."
Weekly waste collection, which was scheduled to end this month, will extend through the week of October 31-November 4.
Front street recycling collection will still be attempted as per the current schedule (Zone 3 Wednesday, October 26).
The city’s recycling contractor, Loraas Disposal, will attempt to collect recycling as per the regular schedule the rest of this week. However, If you require immediate recycling service residents can use the bulk blue bin depot located on the 1000 block of High St W.
