Strathcona County collisions nearly double from last year

It's been almost a week since the sudden snow landed in the region. 

How many accidents happened during the first week of snow, and how does it compare to other years?

According to Strathcona County RCMP, they had approximately 80 traffic collisions reported since Halloween. 

This is almost double the 42 collisions during the same time last year.

In Fort Saskatchewan alone there were 16 reported collisions.

This does not mean that RCMP responded to all of the collisions, as many were reported at the RCMP's front counter.
