The Fort Saskatchewan and Lamont Regional Chamber of Commerce Santa Claus Parade is back!

Streets of downtown Fort Saskatchewan will be filled with floats showcasing local businesses, and the man himself, Santa Claus will of course make an appearance.

"A many-year tradition for Fort Saskatchewan," said DeAnna Voschell, president of the board of directors with the chamber of commerce. "People come from all over. Children love it, and families love it. I think it'll be a great event to get people out again and in person."

This is the chamber's first parade since the start of the COVID pandemic. In 2020 the parade was canceled, and in 2021 the chamber held a reverse parade where locals took a tour of stationary displays.

This will mark a return to what many have come to expect over the 30 years the event has been running.

Local youngsters will again have the chance to deliver their letters to Santa by handing them to one of his elves as his float passes through the streets.

The parade takes place on Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. The route goes south on 99th Avenue, west onto 102nd Street, north on 100th Avenue, and finally down 106th Street.
