A man was killed in Saturday (Nov. 19) afternoon's garage fire in Fort Saskatchewan.
Emergency crews were called to the Sherridon area just after 1:30 p.m.
RCMP says that local firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and discovered a dead body after entering the garage.
The deceased has been transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be done to determine the identity of the person and the cause of death.
The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP General Investigative Section is continuing an investigation into the manner. A fire investigator is also in the process of determining the cause of the incident.
At this moment, police do not believe the fire to be suspicious.
