Four local teams were in action last weekend for provincials.

Unfortunately, the results were disappointing as some bad luck struck each team in their respective North Championships.

Tier 1: Harry Ainley Titans 42, Salisbury Sabres 21

This was the third matchup against these two teams this season. The Titans remain Salisbury's most formidable opponent. It will surely drive an intense rivalry going into next season.

Tier 1 (Regional based): Spruce Grove Panthers 36, Bev Facey Falcons 8

Bev Facey was coming off a dominant shutout victory over Grade Prairie in the semifinals. Unfortunately, they just couldn't muster up that same dominance against a very good Spruce Grove team.

Tier 3: Holy Rosary Raiders 42, Sturgeon Spirits 7

These two teams have had a bitter rivalry over the past few seasons. It has been the Raiders who have had Sturgeon's number. The Spirits should hold their heads high after a remarkable season for the club.

Tier 4: St. Paul Lions 30, Ardrossan Bisons 9

Ardrossan had some extended time off coming into this one, following a forfeit victory over Valleyview in the semifinals. That might've worked against them, but nonetheless a fantastic effort to get to the North Championships.
