One man killed in Wednesday night collision

One man was killed in a collision on Highway 14 on Wednesday (Nov. 30) afternoon. 

Strathcona County RCMP says that at about 3:02 p.m. they were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash just east of Range Road 205. 

An investigation into the collision found that a Dodge Ram crashed head-on into a semi-truck travelling the other direction. 

The 26-year-old driver of the Ram was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger, a 59-year-old man from Spruce Grove, died at the scene. 

The man driving the semi-truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries. 

Two other vehicles were also damaged in the crash, but no serious injuries were sustained by those occupants. 

The identity of the deceased has not been released.
