School bus morning updates (Dec. 6)

An extreme cold warning in the region has affected bus routes in certain communities. 

Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) announced that the following bus routes serving Bon Accord, Vegreville, Mundare, and Andrew have been canceled. 

• 40 - Mundare School, Vegreville Composite High
• 41 - Mundare School, Vegreville Composite High
• 45 - St. Martin's Catholic School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 46 - Mundare School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer 
• 50 - Andrew School, Mundare School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 51 - St. Martin's Catholic School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 52 - Andrew School, Lamont Elementary, Lamont High
• 53 - Andrew School
• 54 - Andrew School
• 55 - Andrew School 
• 56 - A.L. Horton Elementary, Vegreville Composite High 
• 65 - St. Mary's Catholic School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 66 - St. Mary's Catholic School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 67 - Mundare School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 117 - Mundare School, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 118 - A.L. Horton Elementary, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• 119 - A.L. Horton Elementary, Vegreville Composite High, Vegreville Transfer
• BA1 - Bon Accord Community School, Lilian Schick School 

There was also a cancellation in Bon Accord for bus route BA1

Buses in other communities, such as Sherwood Park and Fort Saskatchewan appear to be running and on time. 

EIPS has said that a decision on the status of afternoon routes will be determined around noon.
