The City of Kenora says drivers can expect delays near Seven Generations through the next week as crews continue roadway repairs on Matheson Street South.
The city says the sewer and water service installation work is expected to wrap up on December 16. Until then, Matheson Street South from McLellan Avenue to First Street North is closed down to all traffic, with detours in place. The work is causing delays each morning at the Seven Gens' intersection, due to the detour.
The city warns the public that delays can be expected, and drivers are reminded to always slow down and move over when near working construction crews.
Please be advised that City Transit Bus Stops 2 through 4 on the Pinecrest route will be out of service from Thursday, December 8 until Friday, December 16 due to the road closure on Matheson Street South.
The closest alternate stops are Bus Stop 5 at Brinkman Road and Eleventh Avenue North and Bus Stop 1 on Matheson Street with access via the east side of the Matheson Street bridge sidewalk.
