There were two separate thefts at two separate Tim Hortons restaurants in Steinbach last week.
Sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday morning a pair of thieves broke into the north end Tim Hortons on Highway 12 and made off with $250 and 3 cash drawers that were removed from the cash registers. The pair entered the restaurant through the drive-thru window.
Then, at 2 AM on Friday December 16th, the Tim Hortons on Highway 52 connected to Esso was broken into. The thief stole the charity coin box which had approximately $250 of change in it. Other damages caused by the break in total $300. The thief is believed to be male, with a slim build, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black and white shoes and a blue backpack.
