School buses status update for Dec. 20

A mass cancellation of school buses hit the region this morning (Dec. 20). 

All buses for Elk Island Public and Catholic schools have been cancelled due to extreme cold. 

The following bus routes for Sturgeon Public Schools will also not be running:

• C10
• M2
• M4
• M5
• M6
• M7
• SH1
• SH4
• SH8
• 305
• 704
• 705
• 901
• 902
• 903
• 907
• 918
• 919
• 922

Schools do remain open for students.

A decision on the status of afternoon buses is expected to be made at about noon.
