Strathcona County RCMP arrested an Edmonton man with warrants out for his arrest earlier this month.

On December 7, police responded to reports of a suspicious man at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park.

Upon arriving on the scene, RCMP located the man who provided a fake name. Police made the arrest shortly after.

Further investigation found that the man was 37-year-old Travis Sharko from Edmonton. Sharko had arrest warrants for indecent acts in both Edmonton and Calgary. He was also on conditions that disallowed him from attending any public pools in the province.

Police laid the following charges on Sharko.

  • Obstruction
  • Failure to comply (x2)

Sharko has been released from custody and is expected to appear in a provincial court in January.

If you see any suspicious activity, you are asked to report it at the Strathcona County RCMP detachment at 780-467-7741. Anonymous complaints can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
