Over the past few months, chiropractors across the province have been doing their part to help those in need through the 6th annual Toasty Toes Sock Drive.
Partnering with the Salvation Army, clinics across Saskatchewan including local chiropractor Railway Health Clinic, collected donations of new pairs and packages of socks.
In a recent press release from the Chiropractors Association of Saskatchewan, they detail that the initial goal of the campaign was to collect 10,000 pairs throughout the province, and they managed to surpass this with a total of 12,325 pairs of socks being collected and $2,560 in donations towards other necessities of winter.
In the release, Major Al Hoeft of The Salvation Army adds “The Salvation Army is humbled and grateful for the continued support the community gives us. Their efforts help us continue to give hope to those in need. The effort put forth by the Chiropractors’ Association of Saskatchewan is incredible and their hard work shows the passion they have for their community. Thank you to everyone.”
In total, over the last 6 years of the campaign, over 92,500 pairs of socks and $7,400 have been collected and donated to those in need.
