Fort Saskatchewan residential snow clearing starts this week.
Categories

Fort Saskatchewan residents should expect to see snowplows out and about this week.

The city plans on starting residential snow removal on Wednesday (Jan. 4).

Plows will be clearing the city in sections, with the west side of the city being done first.

Downtown will be the first area that will see service, with plows heading out on Wednesday morning. Plows will go around Turner Park, down 102nd Ave all the way to Lowe Ave.

They will then move south with Sherridon being done on Thursday (Jan. 5) and then continue in each neighbourhood until they reach Westpark Drive on January 12.

Plows will make the jump over Highway 21 where work will continue in each neighbourhood until January 17.

Crews will be placing no parking signs in the neighbourhoods that they will be working in. The city is asking people to remove their vehicles from the street the night before work is expected to be done.

Vehicles that do not move off the street with be ticketed and may be towed.
