A man wanted by Morinville RCMP has been arrested.

A man that had a warrant out by the Morinville RCMP has been arrested. 

In a release, Alberta RCMP says that on Monday (Jan. 30) The Western and Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Units teamed up to search for 49-year-old Neil Gow, a resident of Evansburg. 

As a result of the partnership, RCMP reported that they had located Gow driving a stolen vehicle and, with the help of Edmonton Police, executed a search warrant at an Edmonton residence. 

Gow was then arrested and charged with the following: 

  • Assault
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Driving while prohibited (x2)
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to order (x4)

Additional charges have been laid on Gow from a November 30 warrant by Morinville RCMP that include: 

  • Pointing a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Disobey a court order
  • Possession of w a weapon contrary to an order
  • Disobey a court order (x4)

There is also a third set of charges stemming from a warrant from Evansburg RCMP. 

Gow now has three separate court appearances. He will be in an Edmonton courtroom on Friday (Feb. 3) followed by a Morinville courtroom next week. 

He has been remanded until then.
