Moosic in the Park, sponsored by Visit Moose Jaw and Moose Jaw Band and Choral Festival, is coming to Crescent Park this spring.

Bands from all over Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba will be given the opportunity to play for people in Moose Jaw.

Ten bands will be featured in "Moosic in the Park". Each one will be performing for a half hour.

Janie Fries, spokesperson of the festival committee, is encouraging people to come spend an afternoon in Crescent Park listening to the bands.

"We are inviting the public to come down over the noon hour to enjoy the music while they eat their lunch," she said

Fries is very excited about the event, as they have not been able to host the festival for three years.

"We tried to run the festival last year. With Omicron popping up, there were too many unknowns. We ended up cancelling last year, so everyone is really looking forward to this year."

Moosic in the Park is a free event that will be taking place at the amphitheatre in Crescent Park. It will be held on Tuesday, May 16th, and Wednesday, May 17th from 11:00am-2:00pm. You can find more information at mjbandandchoral.org
