Strathcona County RCMP is asking for help in identifying a suspect believed to be involved in an assault and theft.
In late January, an unidentified man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart on Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park. The man allegedly stole several perfume boxes before leaving the store on foot.
A few weeks later, police believe the same man entered the same Shoppers Drug Mart and tried to steal perfume boxes again. When the man was stopped by employees, the suspect assaulted one of the staff members and fled on foot.
The employee did not report any injuries.
The suspect is described as having a medium build with short brown hair and wearing a black jacket over a grey hoodie.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man to contact the Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741, or Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.
