The City of Fort Saskatchewan has announced an Easter scavenger hunt.

This free event takes place at the Fort Heritage Precinct on April 2 starting a 1 p.m.

The event involves a search for hidden Easter artwork, where residents can win prizes, create Easter-themed crafts, and even enjoy some tasty treats.

Stephanie Holt, programs coordinator with the precinct, says that pre-registration is recommended, but not required.

"It's mostly so we know how many things to prepare in terms of prizes, but we're also used to having free events where we're not sure of the numbers."

The prizes and treats are on a first-come, first-served basis, so Holt recommends arriving early.

This is the first year that the precinct will be hosting their Easter scavenger hunt.
