The Moose Jaw Public Library has a busy month planned!
Starting April 16, the library will begin hosting a new Cyberpunk RED TTRPG (tabletop roleplaying game) program for kids ages 15+. This program will be offered every Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the Reading Room. Registration is required but there is no fee.
The Friends of the Library will be hosting a book sale this month! Used books, DVDs, audiobooks, video games, and more will be sold. The book sale takes place on April 21 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm and on April 22 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Youth programming is filled to the brim with events this month! Teen Dungeons and Dragons, Games Night, and Anime Club take place weekly for those that love to expand their imagination. The library also has a Writer's Circle and "I Made This" Art Program happening this month. For those that like to create things with their hands, the library is also hosting a Teen Maker Space in the Herb Taylor Room.
Children's Programming is booming with fun plans this spring break! The Baby, Preschool, and Daycare Storytimes are drop-in programs that take place weekly. There will also be a special Earth Day Storytime on April 22!
Do you have a kid that enjoys hands-on creativity? The library is hosting 'Lego in April!' and 'Maker Saturdays!' for kids who want to build, create, and test their problem-solving skills. If your child feels like staying at home, pop by the library and participate in the Children's Take 'n' Make Series, where kids can take home craft kits. The library is also giving out literacy calendars for kids who want to complete challenges and do fun activities, songs, games, crafts, and more.
Marty and White Rabbit will also be hiding in the library from April 11 to April 16. Those who can find them win a fun prize!
The Adult program of the library has some fun events going on as well! The "Prisoner of Tehran" and "Jameela Green Ruins Everything" Book Clubs are running this month. Magic the Gathering, Tech Time, and New Adult Digital D&D are happening for those wanting to have some fun with their imagination. The MJPL Movie Club is watching "Loving Vincent" on April 17 at 6:00 pm. The showing is happening in the MJPL theatre. Admission is free and no food/drinks are allowed in the theatre.
