The weekend forecast looks glorious

It looks like winter may finally be behind us.

According to the forecast, we may see double-digits by the weekend.

Saturday (April 8) is expected to have a mix of sun and cloud with a daytime high of 13 C, while Sunday (April 11) is expected to jump to 17 C.

"Enjoy the warm weather, especially over the Easter weekend. I know sometimes it's not great driving conditions, but this year looks like it will be really good," said Jenelle Gergely, a meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Gergely added the forecast may change as the week goes on.

Meteorologists are also expecting to see a drop in temperature starting in the middle of next week. However, there's no certainty on the extent of that drop.
