The Western Development Museum has a lot of fun events planned for the month of April!

Museum Nonsense kicked off (rather fittingly) on April Fool's Day and will be running until April 30th. Guests pick up an activity sheet at the door and are guided through the museum. Different signs will be posted at each exhibit. Each sign will have artifacts with statements about each one; it is the guest's job to decide which of these claims is true.  You can enter your answers for a chance to win a prize basket!

The Hood Ornament Seek and Find also began April 1st. Hood ornaments are the decorations on the front of some vehicles that display the company's name or logo. Guests are encouraged to write down the names of all the hood ornaments they can find on the activity sheet given at the front. Once they are finished, they can bring their activity sheet to Visitor Services for a prize!

The WDM is also showing a collection of short films courtesy of the National Film Board. They will be screened in the Saskatchewan Theatre. Each short film lasts anywhere from 3 to 23 minutes.

The museum is also hosting the Moose Jaw Regional Heritage Fair. Students bring research displays to the displays and present them to various judges. The kids are guided around the exhibits and participate in a short field trip during the afternoon. The day concludes with an awards ceremony and some kids are sent to the Provincial Heritage Fair. The committee is currently looking for volunteer judges to anyone who is interested!
