The first steps to rebuilding two bridges in Morden are nearing completion. Parkhill Drive Bridge work has been completed, and the Alvey Street Bridge work should have been completed on Tuesday, according to Deputy City Manager of Operations Santokh Randawa. Precast concrete panels and guarders are on order, and are scheduled to arrive in a month. The contractor will then resume working to complete the two bridges destroyed by flooding a year ago.

Randawa is hoping the work will take two months to complete, and says the goal is for them to be functional by mid-June to July.

The City of Morden is asking for the public's patience and is asking traffic and pedestrians to stay away from the construction areas during this process.
