A meteorologist with Environment Canada says the freeze-thaw cycle will likely be with us for a while yet.
Brian Luzny says they are expecting double-digit highs at times this week, with some lows dipping below the freezing point.
"This time of year, this typical spring weather, our average highs are in the eight to 10 (degree) range, but our average lows overnight are in the zero to minus three range," says Luzny. "That's unfortunately not going to be going away anytime soon. The freeze-thaw, freeze-thaw overnight, is going to continue for the next couple of weeks it looks like."
Today looks to be the warmest day of the week until Monday when the forecast high is 10 degrees.
There is also some rain in the forecast for Thursday night and Friday.
