UPDATE: 2:45 PM Monday, May 1

Customers will have to wait a little longer to get power south of Kindersley. The estimated time for the power to be restored has been now pushed back to 4:00 PM. West Central Online will have more on the story as it develops.

Here is an updated tweet from SaskPower.

An unplanned outage reported by SaskPower is still affecting some customers south of Kindersley Monday morning. The good news, an update shortly after 8:00 AM shared that the work is expected to be done by around 2:00 PM this afternoon.

The damage came as a result of a vehicle accident. This news comes after other effected areas saw their system back online by the early hours this morning.

Shortly after midnight, it was the Kindersley - Eatonia, Rosetown - Eston, and Maple Creek - Leader service regions that saw crews begin working on the damage. Most power was back before 6:00 AM, though restoration time for power in the rural areas south of Kindersley, Laporte, Eatonia, Glidden, Madison, and all surrounding rurals were still in question.

SaskPower's full statement at 5:28 AM was that, "crews are working to repair damage caused by an accident but are unable to provide a restoration time for power in rural area south of Kindersley and north of Glidden. Customers in Laporte, Eatonia, Glidden, Madison, and all surrounding rurals have been restored."
