It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, Jaden Cyrus White, also known as Kaa’ge’zhii’kot, Kotty Kot, or Big O, as he passed into the spirit world on the morning of April 2, 2021.
He will be greatly & lovingly missed by his parents, Thomas & Arvel White, sister Jada and younger brother, Drayston, Papa Murphy Paypompee, Mamanon Isobel White, Aunties, Julie (Darren), Lulu, Tina, Wendy, Charlotte (Archy), Alana (Keith), Stacy (Colin). Uncles Yankee (Maxine), Travis, Mitch (Rhonda), Mark, Murphy Jr. Jaden’s 2 pets Smallie and Lucky, and many, many other relatives too numerous to mention. He will also be missed by his best friends: Corin K, Delvin C, Dylan P, Brendan P, Pharoah W, Amanda N, & Jagger O. Jaden also had a special old friend whom, he called “waste time nig gin nii”, Dennis.
Jaden is predeceased by his Kokum Grace Kelly, Bumpa Tommy White Sr. and Cousin Blaine.
Jaden took great pride and joy in the game of Basketball, where he excelled in Athletics. Saint Thomas Aquinas High school is where his passion began, winning tournaments, eventually playing in OFSAA, he also travelled to Toronto to follow his dream at the age of 15, only months after picking up a basketball.
Jaden’s family would like to acknowledge his basketball coaches, coach Mike and coach Anto of the TA Saints, Coach Ro of the Grassroots Elite in Toronto, Coach Keveon of Red Lake, MN, Coach Adeel of Toronto Basketball Academy and Coach Pat of the Loyalist Lancers in Belleville, Ontario. The family would like to Thank the OPP, Doug Irish of the OPP, Treaty 3 Police, Dr Whitaker, the SN Fire Brigade, Naotkamegwanning EMS, Naotkamegwanning Band, Health & Education, Fire Keepers Cory J, Murphy K, Mr. Mark, HCC Maxine C. Wake service will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Baibombeh School in Naotkamegwanning FN. And Traditional ceremony followed by burial will be officiated by Elder Gilbert Smith on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in the communities’ West End where he will be laid to rest next to his grandmother Grace Kelly.

A viewing for all friends and family will take place at Brown’s Funeral Home & Cremation in Kenora, Ontario on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 10am to 12:00 pm. Covid restrictions will be in full effect, 5 people will be allowed in the building in 15 minute increments. Brown’s Funeral Home will be managing the viewing schedule, please contact them at (807) 468-8633. No cellphones or cameras will not be allowed in the viewing.
Jaden’s outgoing personality and good manners always left a lasting impression on those he met.
