Shirley Mary Webb
November 8, 1931 - April 5, 2021
Shirley left us on April 5th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 89.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Sheila and D'Arcy Delaney. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Jesse Webb (Victoria, Jonah and Jameson), Joshua (Kara) Webb, Tristin (Jon and Adelaye) King, Ashton Delaney (Chase and Sydney) and Jenna (Miguel and Mariah) Dufresne. She will also continue to hold a special place in the heart of her cherished niece Bev (Bill) Richards.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Marcus and Nellie Blight, her siblings, daughters-in-law Sheryl and Shannon, and waiting for her with open arms her sons Alan (Joe) Webb and Timothy Webb.
Shirley was born and raised in Kenora and worked as a correctional officer at the Kenora District Jail until her retirement in 1991. During her career she made many friends and gathered many stories, which she loved to share.
Following her retirement she enjoyed puttering in her garden and doting on her beloved grandchildren, teaching them to sew, knit and draw. Her family treasured her immense patience and kind heart. Often joking that she did everything slowly, while knowing she just enjoyed life at her own pace.
The family will be holding a private memorial. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kenora Cat Shelter as Shirley was a tremendous cat lover.
