Victorious weekend for Swift Current gymnasts

The Swift Current Gelico Gymnastics Club packed their bags once again over the weekend to attend the Provincial Championships in Saskatoon. 

The young athletes brought their best to the three-day competition, resulting in some large wins. 

Xcel Platinum gymnast Ashlynn Meyer tumbled her way to first place with 36.632 in the all-around, earning her the title of Provincial Champion. 

Meyer was also awarded Best Floor Choreography for her floor routine at the competition and placed first on the beam. 

Meanwhile, Xcel Gold #2 athlete, Jacey Fauser placed fourth on floor with a 9.300, and level three gymnast, Clarissa Groenewald placed fourth on vault with a 9.266.
